The Modern Classic Audi A3

The Audi A3 was hailed back in 1996 for its sleek design, which hasn’t changed much over the last 15 years. The car which was designed to be a small family car was released after the end of the Audi 50 model.

As an entry level luxury car the A3 will be watched closely by those of us looking for an upmarket second car. The high resale values, cabin quality and desirability offer the buyer quality that is not present in other three door models.

The new model which was announced this year has a sportier body presenting a streamlined exterior and a low sporty body. The look of the car has the same aesthetic nature as the body of the car released in the nineties. The beauty of the Audi body shape is that it does not age in the same way as those of the Volkswagen or the Mercedes. So when buying an Audi you can be assured that the look of the car will not seem out of place in five years.

The new Audi A3 three door sport design will go on sale in spring 2012. Leaked designs have already got the car world spinning.

The Audi RS 3 Sportback went on sale in 2011 and the car has received rave reviews. Prices for the new five door model start at £39,930. The car which was designed for the emerging American and Japanese markets has five doors. Compared to the three door models which are favoured by the European market, both the American and Japanese markets desire the larger car. The sport version has an acceleration of 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, but is limited to a maximum of 155mph.

This year and next will be a busy year for the German car manufacturer with both models expected to sell well. Already this year Audi America announced record sales levels and the car manufacturer also launched the Audi A6 in India.

So if you are looking for a car which offers value for money and a good resale value then look no further than the Audi.
